Sue Cole
Having started riding relatively late in life (30+) I spent a number of years showing my part-bred Arabs successfully in both ridden and in hand classes. I started carriage driving in 2006 when we were told that my husband’s Irish cob Jim had been driven in Ireland and enjoyed it so much that I also broke my PBA Red to drive and showed both of them. Sam joined the team in 2011 and we are now hooked on driving trials which present a lot of new challenges and which Sam thinks is much more fun than showing! I no longer ride after an autoimmune illness left me disabled but carriage driving has enabled me to continue to enjoy my horses.

Linda Sprosen
Secretary

I have been a member of WDDC since it started in 1976. My driving started very young when we had a black Shetland pony called Janey and not being very competitive I enjoyed just trotting around the farm and country lanes. After getting married I found didn’t have time for driving and left this to my dad (who started the club), sister and brother. I have been secretary for a long time, seeing many changes in the club.

Jeanie Jordan
Treasurer
My old grey dartmoor pony Joejoe set me on my journey to carriage driving. My boys had outgrown her so i tried carriage driving and the rest is history, i became adicted.
i was a happy hacker in my teens so had masses to learn all these years later and still learning, hopefully keeping dementure away when competing and now find it exhilerating whilst driving my Morgan a welsh section C
