WDDC Training day at Far Forest Sunday 7th March 2010
The day is designed to encourage anyone with an interest in carriage driving, to increase their knowledge, interest and ability to participate and enjoy club events. Have you been bitten by the bug (warning – once caught usually lifelong, and invariably involving £££) to do something competitive with your driving horse?
Interacting at a driven event can be enjoyed in many different ways. You may want to rekindle your interest with an experienced horse or bring on a new partnership. You may want to enjoy the testing skills of being a back stepper, or find out about being a steward and helping to make the events run smoothly. There’s something for everyone to enjoy at driving club events, from making the refreshments, building the course, understanding the rules and generally helping to make a great day out with our equine friends. Whether you intend to drive at a club event or attend in another capacity, come and attend our day at Far Forest. The skills required for all these ways of being part of our club can be explained, and you can feel confident to attend the events we will be putting on in 2010.
The day will begin at 11:00, bring lunch with you, and tea coffee and cakes will be provided for that ‘sugar rush’. If anyone has any particular subjects they would like to be covered please let Carol Pawson know when you ring to book in on 01299 266790. Please ring to reserve a place before Saturday 27th February. No payment required for the day.
Venue --: James’s Place, Pound Bank, Far Forest, Kidderminster, DY14 9DG.
